Training provider endorsement
The IET is actively involved in influencing the standards for training and development of engineers and technologists.
The endorsement service assists all course and event providers in training, continuing education and development sectors wishing to seek endorsement of quality from the IET, to promote their products to a global audience of professionals.
Endorsement is awarded for a three year term, subject to annual monitoring. Full details are provided within our fees, forms and guides section.
The service is available to:
- Commercial training organisations
- University departments
- Colleges
- Trade organisations
- Manufacturing organisations
- Specialist training providers
- E-learning and distance learning providers
Courses may range from business management and associated professional skills, through IT training, to technical engineering subjects.
They may be:
- Short courses
- A series of conferences or seminars
- Distance learning programmes
- MSc programmes and individual component modules
The academic accreditation service assesses course content in relation to professional registration, this is outside the scope of the endorsement service.
