Details about The IET's CD-ROM version of BS 7671: 2001 and IEE Guidance.

Making access to installation guidance easier

The CD-ROM version of BS 7671: 2001 (incorporating all amendments) and all IEE guidance on requirements for electrical installation. It is a fully searchable, structured electronic reference tool, hyper-linked and cross referenced for extreme ease of use.

As well as BS 7671, the CD contains the On-site Guide, Guidance Notes 1 to 7, the Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment, Electrical Maintenance - Code of practice plus an extensive collection of related material, including illustrative articles and a Microsoft Word 6 version of the IEE forms. All the information can be viewed, searched and printed, using Adobe Acrobat, to which some special features have been added. An on-line tutor teaches how to use the package.

These publications have been aligned to BS 7671: 2001 inc Amd No 2: 2004.

Minimum system requirements

A Pentium PC with CD drive, Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP. (In order to make full use of the CD's extensive video clips, a sound card and higher-specification machine are advisable, but not essential)

Prices

Single workstation version - £395 (+ UK VAT) / US$ 710 - no longer available.

(This allows the programme to be used by a single person who uses the software personally on up to two computers, or installed on a single workstation used non simultaneously by more than one person, but not both.)

Network version - £1200 (+ UK VAT) / US$ 2160 - no longer available.

(This allows for up to 10 concurrent users.)
